Nick Kennedy
Consultant Anaesthetist and Intensive Care Specialist
Dr Kennedy has been a Consultant for twelve years, and has specialised in bariatric anaesthesia since helping set up the bariatric service for Taunton and Somerset NHS Trust and South West Bariatrics in 2003.
Dr Kennedy leads the anaesthetic services across all the South West Bariatric centres, and has wide experience in managing bariatric surgical patients, and obese patients in general, in both the operating theatre and in Critical/Intensive Care.
Dr Kennedy was elected Chairman of the Society Of Bariatric Anaesthetists (SOBA) in 2008. SOBA is a national organisation promoting quality, safety and training in anaesthesia for the obese and bariatric surgical patient.
