Background of SW Bariatric Surgery Group
SW Bariatric Surgery Group, a trading subsidiary of SW Healthcare Partnership Ltd, was established in 2005 and provides bariatric (weight loss) surgery services to both private and NHS patients. We are independent of, but have offices at Nuffield Health Hospital in Taunton and currently have surgery centres in Taunton, Bournemouth, Plymouth, Truro, Bath and London with expansion plans in other centres throughout the South and South-West. In 2009/10 we undertook approximately 250 primary operations plus additional revision and repair procedures.
Our multidisciplinary team comprises surgeons, anaesthetists, dietitians, physicians, clinical nurse specialists and psychologists. In addition, the team is supported by management, marketing and field patient-liaison personnel. For more information about our obesity surgery services, please view our website at www.swbariatric.org.
We are an accredited International Centre of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery and are very proud of our exceptional patient outcomes. Considerable effort is made to maintain ongoing outcomes data and to utilise this in reports, publications in peer-review journals and at international bariatric conferences.
In addition to bariatric surgery, SW Healthcare Partnership provides specialist medical weight management programmes, primarily for NHS patients.
