Success Story Christine (lost over 6 stone)

I was 58 years old and had spent the whole of my adult life on a diet. With each failed attempt at the ‘latest’ diet I became more and more depressed. I hated getting out of bed in the morning; I wore a size 26 and weighed 19 stone 2lbs. I felt so tired all of the time. My health was also suffering I had been diagnosed with diabetes, my cholesterol was 6.9, and I had been taking medication for 15 years due to reflux. What else could go wrong?

That day changed my life, I booked in to have a Gastric Bypass.

I had my surgery on March 18th 2009. Two weeks after surgery I was able to stop taking the medication that I had been prescribed for reflux, three months later my diabetes had resolved, and my cholesterol was reduced to 3.2!

I can not tell you how much this surgery has changed my life. I have so much energy now, and cannot wait to get out of bed in the morning to see what the day is going to hold.

A year later I now wear a size 16 dress, and weigh 12stones 9lbs, I am so much happier, and am well on my way to my target weight of 11stone 5lbs.
